Ministry Coordinator 

The coordinator for ministry is a leader that ensures the growth of the small groups by developing, planning and implementing activities and strategies that enhance growth in the small groups. Responsible for providing adequate support and guidance to the various ministry teams that make up the small groups.

Key Result/Responsibility Areas and Job Description

Workforce Growth:

  • Work with Ministry head to ensure increase in number of workers, in the number of small groups and in small groups
  • Examine changes in attendance patterns for members and reach out to them in an effort to reconnect them to the life of the church
  • Guide a process to collect the “time and talent” inventories of current members and help connect those individuals with the appropriate opportunities to engage in

Assimilation

  • Ensure that new members are assimilated into the workforce
  • Serve as a primary contact for members who are interested in connecting or serving a particular ministry of the church.
  • Sieve out communication directed at new members, guests, and the community at large in order to encourage their connection and involvement in the Church

Retention

  • Ensure there’s low turnover of workers

Discipleship

  • Ensure people grow in spiritual maturity
  • Create avenues for spiritual growth and maturity of small group
  • Ensure people are growing into service within the small groups
  • Propagate our values and culture in the entire workforce

Pastoral care

  • Ensure there is value for people in our small groups
  • Ensure that genuine care and love exists
  • Promote friendship and family like living
  • Ensure physical and emotional well-being of every small group member
  • Pastoral care to small group, leaders and members; promote culture of togetherness and love
  • Ensure every member of the small group is well celebrated on their special days; birthdays, wedding anniversary and other memorable days.

Leadership development

  • Institute systems for identifying, developing and deploying
  • Continuous training of existing and new leaders

Administration

  • proper accurate and timely reporting
  • Maintenance of records and database
Competency and Skill Requirement
Academic      Qualification      and      Work Experience Personal Skills
§  Bachelor’s degree recommended

§  Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in same environment or related.

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.

§  A committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God

§  A   versatile   and    good    communicator    who    is passionate about people.

§  Must be a leader.

§  Must have pastoral leading.

§  Must be able to translate strategy into action

§  Must be a creative and innovative thinker

§  Good administration and people management skill

§  Microsoft office proficiency

§  Must be a goal getter.

§  Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

§  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve results

§  Must demonstrate leadership competencies
